How it works
- Sign in and type a question worth arguing on the home page.
- Your question stays open for 24 hours while others say they're interested.
- You pick your opponent from the list — the debate starts instantly.
- Click “I'm interested” on any open question and add a short pitch.
- The poster gets a notification and can choose you.
- You'll be notified the moment you're chosen.
- When a debate starts, one debater is randomly made the Devil's Advocate and argues Against.
- The Devil's Advocate cannot send the first message — they must wait for the opening argument.
- The timer starts with the first message and runs for exactly ten minutes.
- When time is up the debate ends automatically. Either debater can also end it early.
- Anyone can watch a live debate as a spectator.
- Once a debate ends, voting stays open for 24 hours.
- Any signed-in member except the two debaters can cast one vote. Votes are private and final.
- Results appear when voting closes.
- Winner: +3 points. Loser: +1 point for taking part. Stalemate: +1 point each.
